ca487 - Kontora Kooka - Jazz Virus Artist: Kontora Kooka Title: Jazz Virus #ca487Date: 2012-01-26 Keywords: cyber jazz; indie rock; post-rock; other (320 kbps) "Once I tried to transfer V. Hlebnikova's poetry by music. We played Days of White China. Here there were times. In a new album“Jazz Virus ”I think on the contrary, texts and a voice - an essence of our new music. Especially in places of deviations from harmonies. I love deviations. The album is written down quickly - for three months. The jazz virus was installed in us. In this time we had time to break everything that has been saved up before. Certainly, there is a chance at such approach to lose our fans. But what to do, it is much more important - probably we’ll find new. And we already recover". ca476 - Joe Frawley - Curious Perspectives Artist: Joe Frawley Title: Curious Perspectives #ca476Date: 2011-11-07 Keywords: piano solo; dark ambient; experimental; sound collage (320 kbps) This work uses as a launching point advanced theories of artistic perspective- namely by the French mathematician and painter Jean Francois Niceron, who wrote about the anamorphic distortion of images in the 17th century. Anamorphosis is the art of geometrically distorting a painting, drawing, etc., to the point at which it becomes unrecognizable. The distorted image can then only be seen correctly by viewing it from an unusual vantage point, such as from an extremely narrow angle of vision. The use of mirrors to both distort images and correct image distortions is key to many anamorphic works. This music is both an homage to Niceron and an exploration of mirror-image dualities and distortions, geometric deviations, and altered perspectives both artistic and psychological... Joe Frawley is an experimental composer & pianist, working out of New London, Connecticut, whose works blur the boundary between music and sound art. ca470 - Sam Nacht / Leo Bettinelli / Gustavo Lucero - Dopamine Artist: Sam Nacht / Leo Bettinelli / Gustavo Lucero Title: Dopamine #ca470Date: 2011-09-23 Keywords: improvisation; experimental; abstract (320 kbps) Sam Nacht: Having studied several instruments both formally and self-taught, in ’99 Sam narrowed it down to the tenor saxophone, taking private lessons with Juan Ignacio Caino, Luis Nacht (no relation) and eventually Evan Parker... Leo Bettinelli, starting from improvisation and the use of objects and unconventional instruments, he delved into a world of sound of practically endless possibilities, nearing the musical subconscious, which he then incorporated into his life, both as a performer as well as the organizer of several series of experimental music concerts in different venues in Buenos Aires and Barcelona, where renowned musicians both from the local and international scene were invited to participate... Gustavo Lucero Adorador de las sutiles resonancias a las que estamos lanzados a veces apenas concientes, en sus collages, improvisaciones y puestas sonoras, busca unir lo más escondido de aquellas vivencias cotidianas con el múltiple caudal de estilos de cuya agua es esponja... ca459 - Crozzoli Miguel Angel - Irene (live album) Artist: Crozzoli Miguel Angel Title: Irene (live album) #ca459Date: 2011-07-23 Keywords: contemporary jazz (320 kbps) Crozzoli Miguel is a saxophone player from Argentina, who takes his studies at Buenos Aires; tries to discover in his sound and compositions a south-view and feeling from the afro-american heritage that we are part. Irene engage the quest of group improvisation, stained of musical structures that are defined on freedom, on the commitment of the being. Where we find ourselves going into the surface. The historicity and corporeity that shows every look and every sigh, acquiring the value of the genuine and unfinished. The eternal and ephemeral moment, where expressions raise on the commitment with the sound of surprise. Beliefs which are the bases of the quartet… becoming part of the whole. Musicians: Crozzoli Miguel (sax and composition), Chahin Juan (guitar), Camba Ignacio (bass), Menarguez Matias (drums). ca457 - Bubamara Brass Band - Bubamarija / Kashtanizma (EP) Artist: Bubamara Brass Band Title: Bubamarija / Kashtanizma (EP) #ca457Date: 2011-07-12 Keywords: world; balkan brass; gypsy; ethnic; jazz (320 kbps) This orchestra possesses tremendous positive power which, apparently, should be the integral attribute of the Balkan music, but is far not at each foreign collective it turns out such shaking and positive. «Bubamara Brass Band» – a pleasant exception. Этот оркестр обладает потрясающей позитивной энергетикой, которая, казалось бы, должна являться неотъемлемым атрибутом балканской музыки, но далеко не у каждого иностранного коллектива получается такой уж потрясающей и позитивной. «Bubamara Brass Band» – приятное исключение. ca435 - Stefano Ferrian's dE-NOIZE Project - Chapter #01 Amphetamine Artist: Stefano Ferrian's dE-NOIZE Project Title: Chapter #01 Amphetamine #ca435Date: 2011-04-11 Keywords: improv; avant-garde (320 kbps) Stefano Ferrian’s dE-NOIZE is a sort of solo project free from every musical inhibition, genres or mental pattern. It’s like a musical puzzle focused on human addictions, especially to drugs. Every release will be one piece of the puzzle that it is supposed to be endless. Every release will be unique but inevitably connected to the next one by the main concept of the series. Drugs addiction will just be a metaphor of a bigger concept based upon the human inclination to slavery in all its form. Stefano Ferrian plays Alto/Tenor Saxophones, Electric Guitar, Metak Weevil, Bass, Synths, Drum Programming, Voice, Editing. Contact: http://stefanoferrian.wordpress.comDownload |
